St Margaret's Grove

Realising the potential of an under-utilised space

The clients had lived in the property for some years with a low maintenance garden, largely lawn with an existing pond that had seen better days.

The design sought to revitalize the garden, restore and incorporate the ponds, create areas of planting and colour and provide an area to shade from the midday sun. A large area of lawn was to be retained for recreational use so we maximized the potential of the boundaries with wildflower and planted areas flanking a circular path and developed a seating area by the ponds.

“Jamie really worked hard to understood our needs and the final outcome has been absolutely delightful: a small garden has become a year-round haven of peace and colour, a great place to entertain, and a small paradise for our grand-daughter”

Project duration: 5 months
